This is achieved through empowering our health care team to assume responsibility, accountability and authority for continuous improvement of their therapy practice. The therapist is a patient advocate and thus, must respect the client’s individuality in values and beliefs toward their decisions for therapeutic intervention. At the same time the professional therapist relies on knowledge and experience of clinical practice to make ethical decisions influencing the clients care. The client has the right to respectful care and is to be treated with dignity and compassion.
